About Wayland Angels
Our Mission
- To bring care and comfort to our neighbors in crisis.
About Wayland Angels
The Wayland Angels is a community of volunteers from Wayland, Massachusetts, coming together to assist neighbors in need of help by providing meals, local transportation, grocery shopping, running of errands, and more.
Pam Washek, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Wayland Angels Inc., Wayland, MA
Pam is co-founder and executive director of Wayland Angels, Inc., founding angel volunteer community located in Wayland, Massachusetts. Her leadership of the Wayland Angels nonprofit has led to the viral growth of several additional volunteer care communities around Boston following the same community-based model of neighbors helping neighbors during crisis. Pam is leading the launch of a new organization, National Angels, to foster the growth of these volunteer-based communities on the local level. National Angels will provide online “how to” tools and resources for building and operating a volunteer community care network, making it easy for anyone to create an Angel network in their own community. Pam is a member of the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center Patient and Family Advisory Council. She lives in Wayland, Massachusetts, with her husband Kevin and their three daughters, Ainsley, Kathryn, and Jessica.
Remembering Jean Seiden, Co-Founder of Wayland Angels.
Remembering Jean

Jean Lambert Seiden, co-founder of Wayland Angels,
lost her battle with breast cancer in October 2006. |
| Jean was a loving wife, sister, mother, and dear friend to many in the Wayland community. She was always looking out for those in need. And she loved to throw a party, even at the last minute to celebrate good news on a recent cancer scan. She was always looking to enjoy life, holding on to even the smallest glimmer of hope and making the most of what she had at any given moment. Her vibrant laughter radiated a room. She was the kind of friend who always had something nice to say to those she knew. When someone was in crisis, Jean sprung into action. You could always count on Jean to brighten your day. Jean’s zest for enjoying life and helping others will be remembered always as Angels volunteers far and wide carry out the mission she started of neighbors reaching out to neighbors in need. |
“LAUGH LIKE THERE’S NO TOMORROW… LIVE EACH MOMENT WITH GREAT APPRECIATION AND BE EXTRA NICE TO SOMEONE TODAY… MY SOUL DROPS WHEN I THINK OF NOT BEING JOYOUS. LIVE JOYOUSLY, AND SHARE JOY WITH OTHERS.” JS |
Take a moment today to treasure this offering Jean gave to her friends.
“I WISH EACH OF YOU THE GIFT OF FINDING JOY.”
