Parmenter Visiting Nurse Services/ Wayside Hospice is a terrific nonprofit resource Parmenterlocated right in Wayland for Wayland residents. In addition to visiting nurse home care, it also has an Adult Day Health Center and a Hospice Residence along with a hospice at home program. Both the Adult Day Health Center and the Hospice Residence are located in Wayland on Green Way.

Parmenter Visiting Nurse Services/Wayside Hospice, Wayland’s nonprofit home care agency provides a unique Hospice Residence, Bereavement support for children-HEART play, an Adult Day Health Center, hospice at home, visiting nurse services and family volunteer opportunities.

Camp Sunshine

Nestled alongside the shores of beautiful Sebago Lake, Camp Sunshine provides respite, support, joy and hope to children with life-threatening illnesses and their immediate families through various stages of a child’s illness. The year-round program is free of charge to all families, and includes 24-hour onsite medical and psychosocial support. Bereavement groups are also offered for families who have lost a child to an illness.

Camp Sunshine staff consists almost entirely of volunteers who donate their time. Over 2,000 dedicated volunteers participate in our program each year. Many return again and again. They help with food service, arts and crafts, recreational leadership, one on one assistance, child care and more. Volunteers range in age from 16 to 80 and include doctors, nurses, social workers, teachers, business executives, high school and college students.
